Fluid Level Transmission irregular
- First, check if power source is properly connected. If it is not, please refer to the operating manual on the proper connection method.
- Measure the +24V and O/P voltage using a voltmeter. The reading should read between 13V~36V. If it reads otherwise, check for irregularities along the cable and/or connected equipment.
- If the voltage reading in step 2 is correct, use a milliampere multimeter to measure the current on the 4~20MA relay. Replace the product or contact our customer service personnel for readings out of the 4~20MA range.
- Check the voltage on the IN and COM, normal voltage should read around 2.5V. Remove the EXC wire if the voltage is excessively low. Get another voltage reading.
If voltage reads normal, this indicates a faulty magnetic module. If voltage is still excessively low, the signal switch might be damaged.
Replace signal switch or contact our customer service personnel.
Float is at the bottommost position, yet the flag
- The flag board cannot follow the speed at which the float drops. Install throttling gear to stabilize the fluctuating speed of the liquid level.
The flag board piece is unable to flip over, or th
- Confirm that there are no magnetic elements inside and around the chamber. Stroke it once over with a magnetafter cleansing to obtain a homogeneous colour display.
Colour indicator rotates a full 360°
- The float is over-magnetized. Contact customer service personnel for a replacement.
Faulty contact/relay switch.
- Measure the resistance when the magnet is placed near the contact/relay switch. It should not go above 300m Ω. Resistance should go above 10MΩ when the magnet is removed. Otherwise, replace the contact/relay switch.
Unable to connect the 2 wire output signal switch
- Refer to the operating manual , connect the signal switch's +24V connector to the indicator’s +24V connection. Connect the signal switch's O/P connection to the indicator's AI connection. Should the device fail to work after powering up, contact our customer service personnel.
No Output Signal
- Check to see if the power distribution box has a burning smell. If it has, contact our customer service personnel for a replacement.
- Verify that the S.G of the medium is not too big, change to a bigger paddle size if possible.
- Device installed at a inappropriate place, if feed material comes into contact with device, install a protective plate cover to prevent this, or shift the position where the device is installed.
Internal switch component falls off
- Check for the presence of vibration-causing equipment within the container.
- Buy replacement parts, remove vibration-causing equipment to prevent the internal switch components from falling off in future.
Switch damaged due to moisture Seepage /accumulati
-
Drain away accumulated water and heat-dry affected switch. Confirm that the ground insulation is above 100 MΩ. Finally, follow stipulated guidelines for wiring arrangements and ensuring that all slits and openings are all sealed.
-
Ensure that the cable gland faces downwards.
No Switching Action Detected
- Check to see if the switch is working using a multimeter. The cable float level switch resistance should be less than 300mΩ when the switch is in closed position. When the switch is in open position, resistance value should be above 10MΩ. If the switch doesn't display these values, then please replace the switch.
- Check the operating environment to see if there is any debris obstructing the float. Ensure regular removal of excessive impediments to guarantee normal functioning of switch.
No Output signal detected
- Check that the actual operating temperature does not exceed recommended operating temperature.
- Check to see if there is proper connection of the signal wires.
Low Accuracy Readings
- Check if the operating environment is subjected to Moisture, if moisture exits, try to eliminate the source.
- If there is a change of measuring medium, re calibrate Zero-span parameters of the instrument.
No contact output
- Check for vibrating probe damage caused by falling materials, replace damaged tuning fork.
Normal Operating when tested, no output when insta
- Check that the operating temperature is not Exceeded that may cause the malfunction of the vibrating Fork.
EX-75U- No contact output
- Check for damaged fuse, replace fuse with same specifications if necessary.
Relay does not action
- Send back to manufacturer for repairs.
Over-sensitive setting
- Adjust the sensitivity dial back to the H position, using a flat head screwdriver to adjust the larger indicator to the position where the indicator lamp lights up.
Switch does not action.
- Ensure that the switch is installed at the feeding inlet, install additional protective cover. Send damaged switch back to manufacturer.
LED lights up during coarse tuning adjustment.
- Possibility of water seepage in the connection box, send switch back to manufacturer, and waterproof the cable gland inlet.
Switch does not action
- Check whether a short circuit in the PCB, causing the internal switch to be burnt.
- Check if the fluid S.G is too low such that the floatIs unable to float on the fluid.
The RDA solenoid does not action
- Use the multimeter to check for impedence, the absence of impedence indicates solenoid valve coil is damaged. Replace valve.
No signal
- Check for broken power connections, if power cable is not broken, send indicator back to manufacturer.
Intermittent signal
- To prevent interference, ensure that a shielded cable is used, instrument is not placed near a power cable.
No Contact Output
- Check to see if sending blade is unable to move due to insufficient flow.
- Check whether faulty wiring causes the magnet tooverload and burn.
Possibility of installing within a vertical pipeli
-
Only on a bottom-up direction pipeline.
No signal/ Unable to detect signal
- Confirm whether if there is positive/negative pressure within the barrel.
- Check if the wiring connections are correct.
Unstable signal with interference
- Check if proper shielded cable is used.
- Check if operating temperature is too high.
Action point is always showing ON or OFF
- Check if device is overloaded.
- Return to manufacturer for servicing/ repair.
Unstable Switching Action
- Ripple Movement on the fluid causes false alarm, install pipe shield to filter off ripple effect.
- Incorporate a delay feature on the instrument.
Unstable Switching Action
- Ripple Movement on the fluid causes false alarm, install pipe shield to filter off ripple effect.
- Incorporate a delay feature on the instrument.
Action Point is always showing ON
- Use a multimeter to check the signal output, ensure that the reed switch is not burnt, if burnt then send back instrument for a replacement.
Float has no action
- Check the welded float for distortion or if it has cracked.
- Ensure that the liquid S.G is more than the float S.G.
- Ensure that the terminal box does not have water seepage, send back to manufacturer if there is.
