  1. Greenhouse gas emissions
    2022 is the first year that the greenhouse gas inventory was completed in accordance with ISO14064 standards, and AFNOR ASIA issued a verification report. Since 2022 is used as the base year, the data covers Finetek Co., Ltd, Tucheng head factory and Tucheng No. 2 Factory:

    From 2019 to 2021, we make our own statistics. The data covers Finetek Co., Ltd. Tucheng Head factory, and Tucheng No. 2 Factory and Yilan Factory. The carbon emissions of purchased electricity, water and garbage are used as statistics:

  2. Intensity
    Intensity (kg CO2e/turnover) refers to the greenhouse gas emissions produced per unit of turnover in terms of carbon dioxide equivalent, which reflects the energy efficiency and environmental impact of an enterprise or industry. The lower the intensity, the more efficient the energy use the less greenhouse gas emissions. The carbon dioxide emission intensity of purchased electricity in 2022 was 0.4439 kg CO2/NT$1,000, a decrease of 20.06% compared with 2021.

  3. Water consumption
    The water consumption data covers Finetek Tucheng head factory, Tucheng No. 2 Factory and Yilan Factory.

     In 2021, Tucheng No. 2 Plant started operation, so the water consumption in 2022 was more than that in 2021. 
     
      4.Improve energy efficiency and energy conservation and carbon reduction policies
The factory uses electricity to reduce carbon emissions through daily energy conservation. It gradually replaces LED energy-saving lamps in the factory and uses infrared or sound controllers to switch on and off to save power. In 2022, the completion progress of each factory area was 36% completed by the head office, 64% completed by the Tucheng No. 2 factory, and 9% completed by the Yilan factory. It is expected that in 2023, each factory area can increase by about 30%, and in 2025, all factories will fully use energy-saving lamps.



The company's goal is to reduce carbon dioxide emission intensity by 1% and water consumption by 1%. The energy conservation and carbon reduction policies are as follows:
  • Set constant temperature for office air-conditioning equipment to reduce power load, and encourage you to turn off air-Conditioning and lighting power.
  • Install a water saver to avoid water waste.
  • Introduce electronic sign-off and electronic document management systems to reduce paper usage and make more use of recycled paper.
  • To implement waste recycling management and resource classification, and have professionals responsible for waste treatment and classification.
  • Turn off lights and computers after get off work to save energy.

    The total weight of waste covers Finetek head Tucheng factory, Tucheng No. 2 Factory and Yilan Factory.

    Note: Since our company’s waste is incinerated by a qualified professional waste treatment company and recycled and reused by professional recyclers, it is all harmless waste.
    The total weight of waste in 2021 was 25,676 kg, and the total weight of waste in 2022 was 27,445 kg. This was mainly because Tucheng No. 2 Plant started operating in 2021, so the total weight of waste in 2022 was more than that in 2021. The improvement directions include policy promotion, carton collection and recycling, and the effective use of accurate calculation materials. The improvement target is expected to be to reduce the waste ratio by 1% in 2023.
     
  2. Waste management
    Our company mainly focuses on the manufacturing of industrial sensors. All domestic waste from business employees and general waste generated from business activities are incinerated by qualified professional waste treatment companies. The metal processing pieces and scraps produced during the processing and manufacturing process are recycled and reused by professional recyclers. Achieve conservation in the use of natural resources, implement resource recycling and zero waste, minimize waste production and maximize resource recycling, and promote material recycling and resource recycling.

     
  3. Waste generation and significant waste-related impacts
    The Group's manufacturing and welding of electronic components all adopt lead-free processes, and no harmful lead is produced. The factory's manufacturing activities are purely hardware processing and component assembly testing, so no SDS hazardous substances listed in the safety data are produced. The principle of waste management is to recycle and reuse waste if it has recycling value and is priced by environmental protection companies. If it is general garbage generated from worthless business activities, it should be incinerated by a qualified professional waste disposal company.
