The processes of oil & gas include production phase, transportation phase and distribution phase.  Each process needs monitor the material inventory status.   It includes; (1) The custody transfer which delivers oil from a party (oil production platform) to another party (ship, barge, railcar or truck); generally during this procedure it should be witnessed and certificated under American Petroleum Institute (API).  Also, it is the highest accuracy requirement for level measurement. (2) The allocation metering which moves oil from production line or plant into tank, or the tank distribution processes; (3) Check metering noted as a regular inspection procedures; (4) Well injection; where it is regularly operation in oil shale and shale gas exploration; (5) Leak detection to examine if any leakage in tank or pipe; (6) Fuel management and process management are regular operation in power plant, power station, refinery process and downstream from a refinery, to control the fuel consumption; (7) Process measurement; especially for refinery factory; (8) Downstream applications which mixes the fuel measurement, custody transfer and check metering that monitors different fluids into individual pipe and tank, and their mixing processes.

Magnetostrictive level sensor based on the magnetostrictive effects & anti-magnetostrictive effects, can transfer the physical deformation into magnetic field strength and vice versa.  In the late of twenty century, it became the most important due to the innovation of super conductors which enhances the deformation rate can be up to 10-3. Now, the magnetostrictive level sensor is the most accurate level sensor in the world and used for versatile petrochemical, pharmaceutical and chemical industries. FineTek’s EG series can accurate up to astounding 0.01%F.S and detect two levels (Water / Gasoline) and temperature simultaneously. It provides user not only Fuel High, Fuel Low, Water High but is also temperature information.  With ATEX intrinsic safety certificate (Ex II 1G  Ex ia II B  T3…T6) and low temperature coefficient (<100 ppm/℃), the EG series can further connect with Material Measurement System(MMS), which can expand its communication via wire (RS485, TCP/IP) or wireless (ZigBee Pro) up to 32 devices monitoring.

Main applications include, the (1) Monitoring of hazardous area for petrochemical industries, via wireless transmission sending data back to control center, instead otowerf patrolling, which is most important for some area with high risk of combustible, toxic material management. (2) Gas station, as the real time monitoring system provides multiplies alarm messages to different operation / management level at the same time.  Also, follow the PSA standard, this high accurate EG series can fit the highest leakage detection standard (0.1 gallon/hr) and save the cost of annual inspection on tank, pipes and soil analysis. (3) Diesel engine fuel / lubricant level detection, most the this kind of application needs a robust, reliable level sensor devices, provides data wireless transmission back to control center, the EG series has very successful application on this area.  (4) Pharmaceutical machinery and rechargeable battery process, for this kind of application it generally needs the intrinsic safety level sensor and also fit the IP69K, CIP (Clean in Place) and SIP (Sterilize in Place) standard with FDA/3A connection approval.

The FineTek, dedicates on the explosion proof level sensor devices over 10 years, and now it owns the most extremely ATEX certificate for EG series, and will further step into the IECEx certificate in near future, provides the customer a safety, reliable and accurate level monitor management for petrochemical, pharmaceutical machinery and chemical industries application.
